K-Log Shipping Information

Where We Ship

We ship to all 50 US states, plus the US Territories. If the final destination of your shipment is an international location, we’ll ship it to a freight forwarder in the US, and you’ll have to make the arrangements to get the furniture from there to its final destination. Sorry, but we can only ship to a street address and not PO boxes or APO/FPO military addresses.

How We Ship

UPS

In most cases, small, lighter-weight items will ship via UPS. The UPS driver will typically bring the boxes just inside your door. Whenever possible, we will quote the UPS charges in your shopping cart. If UPS is not listed as an option, it’s because the items are too large or too heavy to ship via UPS.

Truck Freight Shipping

Larger or heavier (over 150 lbs) items cannot ship via UPS. Those items will be delivered by truck from one of several freight carriers we use. In this case, we will need to know whether you need any additional services, such as a liftgate or inside delivery, as described below.

F.O.B.

All orders are shipped "F.O.B. Destination", meaning that we are responsible for damages to the shipment until it reaches its destination. "F.O.B." identifies the point at which responsibility for the safe passage of the merchandise switches from the shipper to the recipient. It does not indicate who pays for the shipment, only who is responsible for it if damages should occur. K-Log accepts all responsibility for the shipment until it reaches your facility.

Standard Tailgate Service Liftgate Needed Inside Delivery Service

On a standard freight delivery, the driver will bring the items to the back of the truck, which means that you are responsible for lowering the items to the ground and bringing them inside.

A loading dock is a raised platform, even with the height of the back of a semi truck, where trucks can be loaded and unloaded. If you don’t have a loading dock and you are purchasing large or heavy items, you will most likely need a liftgate to lower the items to the ground. Not all trucks are equipped with a liftgate, so if one is needed, you'll need to specify it now. An additional liftgate fee of $49 is charged by the freight company because of the special equipment needed.

On a standard freight delivery, the driver moves the items only to the back of the truck. If needed and specified, he will also use a liftgate to lower it to the ground. Additionally, you can arrange for the driver to move the items inside for an additional $49 charge. With this service, the driver will bring the items just inside your door and out of the weather.

Scheduled Delivery Appointment Free Shipping Installation Services

Freight companies operate on a tight schedule, moving shipments across the country to your doorstep as quickly as possible. You can request a scheduled delivery appointment at no extra charge, but that may delay your shipment by a day or two as the freight company will have to hold that delivery while they call to schedule an appointment. You should ONLY request an advanced schedule notification if special arrangements need to be made to meet the driver upon delivery.

“Free Shipping” is offered on some items that are clearly marked as having free shipping. Items that do not specify “free shipping” will be subject to a delivery charge. For detailed information regarding shipping specific items, click on the “Shipping” tab on the product page.

If desired, we can provide additional installation services, such as bringing the items up five flights of stairs, unboxing and assembling items, or even space planning and setup of complete rooms of furniture. Please contact our Customer Service team Monday through Friday from 7am until 6pm (CST) at 800-872-6611 for these special service options.
